  • 500 to 560: High Risk. Likely to encounter higher interest rates and more challenging terms.

Negotiating and Managing Expectations

If you have a high credit score, leverage it to negotiate the best possible mortgage terms. Conversely, if your credit score is in the lower range, be prepared to accept less favorable terms.
